It is a source of humic and fulvic acid based organic matter. Humic and fulvic acids are the most perfect substances that contain vital nutrients for soil and plants in natural (organic) form.
In light-textured (sandy) soils, thanks to its adhesive properties, it binds sand grains together, aggregates them and thickens the soil. Thus, the water retention ability of the soil increases and the rapid loss (washing away) of plant nutrients from the soil is prevented.
It prevents the formation of a creamy layer in the soil. Thus, germinated plantlets can easily rise to the surface of the soil without being exposed to a physical obstacle.
It prevents the plant from experiencing water stress in dry conditions.
It provides more solar energy absorption by darkening the color of the soil. In easily warmed soil, seeds germinate in a shorter time and the crop is harvested earlier.
It increases biological activity in the soil by having a stimulating effect on the development and proliferation of beneficial soil microorganisms. Additionally, it also balances soil pH. With these properties, it transforms the nutrients that cannot be absorbed in the soil into a form that the plant can benefit from and increases the nutrient uptake capacity of the plant.
